Great South Contractors (Pty) Ltd has a fully functional in-house factory, which include the latest machinery. In the BIC workshop there are 4 individuals that are responsible for cutting and edging of boards. We also have 3 teams consisting of 3 individuals that is responsible for installation or removal of BIC units and we have 2 teams consisting of 3 individuals that is responsible for the preparation and installation for any ceiling’s or painting requirements. We have two teams which consist of two guys that are responsible for leak detection and plumbing repairs.
The reason for this company is to ensure faster turn-around times, from when an assessment is done and once the approval is given, to do our own cutting, edging and installation.
Where a claim includes build in cupboards, the information is supplied to the office which includes the size of the cupboard, the colour of the cupboard as well as the area of where the cupboard needs to be installed. This is then put on a 3-D design template to review and look at what the cupboards should look like when it is complete.
Upon receipt of the plumbing/leak detection claim, a team is send out to go look at the problem and solve it first time. Leak detection is done using various methods and once a leak is detected it is repaired.
In areas where a fire is being claimed, we are appointed to go and reinstate the property to its original state.
The work we do is mainly related to insurance claims. Information is provided by insurance companies, we do assessment were required and once approved we complete repairs.
These kind of claims relates to painting, rebuilding of walls, ceiling repairs, paving, plastering, welding, minor roof repairs and tiling. Where a geyser had burst or due to a storm claim, these items perish or get damaged and we go and reinstate the property to its original state.
